Presenter Panel: Kate Cave, licensed marriage and family therapist at the VA; and Laurie Stange, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice.

Kate Cave is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 30 years of experience. For 14 of those years, she worked on military installations around the world, and in the VA, helping families and children cope with deployment, changes in schools and friendships, and retirement from the military. Laurie Stange is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who recently went into private practice after working at the VA for several years. She lived within a military base in Berlin from 1989-1993 where she taught college for the University of Maryland and her husband worked as a pediatrician at the Berlin Army hospital. In this workshop, we will address some of the unique social/emotional challenges faced by these families and their children as they negotiate school, adjustment, and normal development.
