The Chicago Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is engaged in an investor education program for future teachers and school staff that may have opportunity to invest in 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans.  The education workshop provides important information on what you need to know before you invest!  The workshop covers: 403(b) and 457(b) plan basics; variable annuities and mutual fund products and their fees and costs; how to research investment products and investment professionals; and tips on how to avoid fraud when investing.

While you are helping educate others, make sure you don’t lose sight of your own financial future.  We will share resources that can help you become a smarter investor and better plan for your retirement.
