This is the first part of a two-part series on how to conduct Tier 3 functional behavior assessments (FBAs) in a school setting. The FBA process involves collecting data to better understand a student’s behavior. This information is used develop strategies to support a student’s behavior behavior at school. In this session, participants will learn about the FBA process, the basic principles of behavior, along with indirect and direct assessment measures such as how to record antecedent, behavior, and consequence (ABC) data.
