Stationery

For a successful College brand identity, the consistency of all materials is critical, starting with the stationery system. It is important to never recreate the stationery system, but use the standard design templates available at the UI Printing and Mailing Services StoreFront. Each time any stationery items are needed place the order directly at the UI Printing Services' online StoreFront.  You can see examples of our business cards and letterhead below.

You can also order permanent, magnetic name badges through your department's administrative staff.

NOTE: When writing letters on UI letterhead (stationery), the margins on both the left and right should be 1 inch.

Email Creation and Signature Specifications

Establishing a New Email

It is best practice for emails created for entities within the College to match a URL. For example, iserve@uiowa.edu corresponds with http://www.education.uiowa.edu/iserve, which is a short URL for http://www.education.uiowa.edu/students/veterans. If you are not sure what email alias to request or if your current web address doesn't match your desired email, please contact the webmaster for assistance.

Email addresses should be as concise as possible, yet be as readable as possible. While edteccntr@uiowa.edu is short, a better email alias would be education-technology@uiowa.edu.

Deb Kakavas is a good resource if you need assistance requesting an email address.

Email signature specifications
