An innovative collaboration between teacher education faculty leaders and PK-12 teaching practitioners, the MATLCC program is designed to build the requisite skillset necessary for educators who want to lead curriculum and instructional development strategies in education and become effective teacher leaders. Relevant coursework developed by leading scholars, leaders, and practitioners provide students with a rich range of perspectives critical to career advancement. Core courses in current areas such as Instructional Coaching, Cultural Competency/Diversity, Assessment, Technology, English Language Learners, Globalization, and Curriculum address the professional needs of teachers in the changing landscape of education.


The M.A. in Teaching, Leadership, and Cultural Competency (MATLCC) is a dynamic program designed to fit the needs of busy professionals. Offered entirely online, the flexibility and convenience of this program allows working educators to earn their advanced degree in as little as 20 months. Students can take electives in a wide variety of contemporary topics in education, including STEM, Diversity in Schools, LGBTQ Issues, Global Education, Experiential Learning, Talented and Gifted Programs, Reading Diagnostics, and English Language Learners.
