The master’s program in Mathematics Education provides students with advanced specialization in mathematics and education as a better foundation for K-12 teaching.


Candidates must meet the M.A. admission requirements of the Graduate College and, except in unusual cases, hold a professional license/certificate to teach school mathematics. The 32-semester- hour program also requires a combined score of 1000 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test is preferred.
