The TEFL Certificate is designed for students who are interested in English language teaching and administration in primary and secondary schools (K-12) outside of the United States.
The TEFL Certificate is 12 semester hours and offered entirely online. Students take graduate level classes taught by English language education scholars who have taught within and outside of the United States at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels. The program allows asynchronous web-based interaction, so students work at their own pace within the course schedule and structure. Three of the TEFL certificate courses transfer to the college’s M.A. program in Foreign Language and ESL Education.
